Peapod to give away free dinners on Thanksgiving

Peapod plans to provide holiday dinners worth $6000 to firefighters of Chicago. Peapod will give the dinners on the eve of Thanksgiving. It should be noted that Peapod is a large internet grocer.
According to reports, The planned to give away the Thanksgiving dinner to twenty fire stations i.e. $250 will be given to each fire house. Peapod also plans to give $50 to each fire house so that they can buy holiday dinner for needy families.
"We know how hard our local firefighters work, and we just want to say thank you for a job well done", said Scott DeGraeve, G.M. of Peapod.
"We also know that fire fighters have first-hand knowledge of families who have suffered losses and aren't in a position to prepare a holiday feast this year. By delivering a fully cooked Thanksgiving meal to these families, the fire fighters have a chance to take the spirit of giving one step further", he added.
"Chicago Fire Fighters Union, Local 2 is proud to partner with Peapod in this holiday endeavor. We would once again like to thank Peapod for their generosity to the fire fighters of Chicago and communities that we both serve", said Tim O'Brien. Tim is the PR director for Chicago's Fire Fighters Union.
